The World Travel Market London gets the UK and International travel industry together in ExCel (East London).

It’s our Must-Attend trade fair and I’m looking each year to it. This year WTM is from 7 th till 9th November! That’s one day less than previous years. Let’s see how this will work out, as now all needs to be handled in a day less.

Here is our World Travel Market London Guide

World Travel Market London Guide: Finding Your Way Around

There are two big halls:

Northern Hall sections: Europe, UK & Ireland, Global Village and the Travel Tech Show

Southern Hall sections: Asia, America, Middle East and Africa

Both halls are directly opposite of each other, so that you can easily reach the different stands in only a couple of minutes. So no long walks or getting lost between meetings. Between both halls you’ll find a long corridor with many opportunities to boost up your energy level with chocolate bars and coffee. There is also the Press Center and the Platinum Suite in this corridor.

At the back wall of the Northern Hall between Europe & UK / Ireland you’ll find the Travel Tech Show. That’s a place to watch out for, as that’s where you’ll find some good presentations. More about this later…  and by the way, the UK section was always separated from Europe at WTM and has nothing to do with BREXIT…. just saying…  😉

At the back wall of the Southern Hall you’ll find several rooms for further presentations. Those are on the first level. So walk through those doors and upstairs. If you walk downstairs, enjoy the sun (hopefully) and the view onto the River Thames.

World Travel Market London Guide: Getting Around

Traffic is usually chaotic in London, so plan in enough time to travel to ExCeL (1 Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London Docklands, E16 1XL). A good way to get there is by London Underground and DLR (Docklands Light Railway).

The underground won’t take you all the way to ExCel and sooner or later you have to change into the DLR. This is very well organized and there will be people directing you the right way. Get off at Custom House (West Entrance) or Prince Regent (East Entrance). London is a very busy city and it takes easily one hour (or more) to get from A to B.

Plan in enough time to arrive at ExCel!

World Travel Market London Guide: Get the London App

It’s definitely a good app to have and if it’s only to find the stands and your way along.

The App also has many more features:

I'm sure you've had similar experiences I had whilst traveling. You're in a certain place and a fellow traveler, or a local, tip you off on a little-known beach, bar or accommodation. Great travel tips from other travelers or locals always add something special to our travels. That was the inspiration for Travel Dudes.
